How to learn to learn?

Hi,

Today we will learn how to learn.

I'm one of those people who believe that you should always be learning, on any subject and in any format.

People have preconceived ideas about learning.

  • Those who give up: it's okay I learned at school
  • Those who are book fetishists: only in books
  • Those who have an online course fetish

To this type of people, if you are one of them, I would like to answer that there is no time to learn, nor any type of learning more beneficial than others.

Concentrated mode

Obviously, the best way to learn is to concentrate.

The best way to remember is to take notes.

You must have a written record (electronic or paper) of what you learn.

Deconcentrated mode

The brain is a muscle. Like every muscle, it needs breaks to develop. The time of your breaks help to clarify it and to rest. We tend to favour the concentrated mode: it's a huge mistake, the brain needs to be able to unfocus to think.

It is often said that you have to get your head out of the handlebars and it is so true.

If you want to get your head out of the game: go for a run, meditate if you meditate, swim, walk, go for a walk with your dog, go out, listen to music, meet people (not too many in this period of coronavirus), and have a break.

If you're creative, it's even more important.
